Compassionate Assisted Living Near Tacoma, Washington

Avista has been a breath of fresh air. After 3 years at a facility that seldom managed to deliver the basics in their contract, Avista has been welcoming, warm, clean and well maintained. The staff has learned my dad’s quirks and sometimes gruff personality and is communicative, helpful and kind. They are also present, in the building and have a great understanding and rapport with all the residents.

The process of enrolling my 90 year old father in the Avista Senior Living Sumner facility was easy and straightforward. Once my father moved in, the staff cared for him in a very caring and professional manner. His stay was very brief but the care and attention provided to him was unabated. I wholeheartedly commend the staff and recommend this facility.

My loved one is enjoying himself with the activities that they are doing and what all they are able to do due to covid. I would highly recommend this community. I feel that it is worth every penny.

I think because of the really good care she’s receiving, my loved one’s health has improved dramatically. It’s a very calm place to be. One of the things that is most impressive is the friendliness of the workers. They’re very good at what they do, very helpful to my loved one, and very pleasant and informative to me as a visitor…Their cost was a little lower than other places in the area, but the care is amazing. I’ve worked in the industry before, and It’s the total package here. I can tell that the employees are happy, and that speaks very highly of itself.

While first viewing the property, I noticed that it was very nice, clean, homey, and it had a very good feeling to it. This is why I chose it. They seem to have a whole list of things to do at the facility, which is posted in the lobby to keep everyone updated on what is going on during certain days. They do provide transportation as well to go to outings and doctor’s appointments. The food there is fine in my opinion. The have a menu that changes daily, and if you don’t like what is being served on a certain day, there is a set menu to order from to replace it…I would recommend this location to others.

The staff are friendly and will help us in anyway they are able to. Mom seems to like the food. She is enjoying the daily activities offered. The community is really beautiful inside and out. They have a nice courtyard with a community garden. This is a smaller community so it is easier for mom to get around. I would recommend this community.

My loved one has a beautiful studio with a great view of the lake right outside his window. The housekeeping team has done an excellent job at always making sure my dads room stays comfortable and clean for him. I have no complaints about this community and would recommend it.
