Senior living doesn’t mean sedentary. We want to help you stay active and involved at our retirement community. One way we do that is through our incredible life enrichment program. We offer choir, drama, dancing, sing-a-longs, live band, crafts, painting, and more. Residents love hanging out in our music room with a piano, drum set, and bass amp. Our choir is all about developing our talent together as a group. And most importantly, we have lots of fun! Participating helps our residents build confidence. They sometimes start out hesitant, but pretty soon they’re singing to others in the halls and line dancing on our dance floor.
In our gym, we provide something for everyone, from “chair chi” to circuit training to supervised workouts. After a workout, residents can order a detox or energy smoothie from our juice bar. If you’re looking for something more low-key, we have a book club, pajama movie nights, a volunteer program, and even a dog park. If outings are more your thing, we take local day excursions as well as overnight trips to places like Las Vegas and Laughlin.
A large part of our success here at Avista Magnolia is due to our fabulous Activities Director, Jake Gutierrez. He considers working with seniors to be his calling in life, and he’s spent the last two decades helping senior care facilities have fun. During the pandemic, he found creative ways to keep the fun going. He serenaded residents while they listened from the balcony. He played ice cream truck music while delivering treats to rooms. And he used technology to send videos of residents to their families. Jake loves the opportunity to get to know the residents, build on their strengths, and change lives. His advice on making the most of life: “Don’t be afraid! Just go for it.”
We believe that when we all come together, our community is stronger. Every person in our care community has something to offer.
We want everyone to have a friend here at Avista Magnolia Assisted Living in Corona, CA. We start by helping each resident feel welcome. Every person who moves into any type of care is assigned an Avista Ambassador — current residents who welcome new residents and invite them to join activities. We also hold a new resident luncheon where residents get to enjoy a fancy lunch, meet our team, and learn all about the variety of activities we offer.
At some point, owning a vehicle is just too much of a hassle. Our assisted living community offers reliable transportation to local shopping, events, and doctor appointments. Trusted transport gets residents where they need to go precisely when they need to go, safely and on time.
Moving into assisted living is a move into a lifestyle that promotes healthy senior living, and opens up many options for the future. Each resident has a custom care plan regularly evaluated by our medical team. If needs should change over time, we see it as it happens, resulting in early diagnosis and, inevitably, better treatment options for the future.
The things we do and how we work together create the ultimate and most important benefit – peace of mind. Friends and family of residents can rest easy, knowing their loved one is well cared for in a home-like environment. Our residents themselves rest at ease knowing that they have the support they need available for them every day.
Seniors living at home alone are at a higher risk for social isolation and increased feelings of loneliness and depression. At our community, our residents live in a dynamic community environment with friends and staff who encourage participation in events and socialization. It is an excellent opportunity for residents to make new friends, get to know the staff, and feel connected to a larger community of people in the same chapter of life.
We take great satisfaction in our Dining Program at Avista Senior Living. We provide three meals throughout the day in our dining room that can suit any specific dietary demands. A large selection is always available and delivered to each table with a smile. Our Dining Service Directors lead qualified staff members who appreciate culinary arts and enjoy serving our residents.
Our Corona assisted living residents anticipate each meal not just for the delicious food but for the enjoyable moment to spend with good friends. We love having family members and friends dine with us, specifically on festive occasions like birthday celebrations and holidays.
We encourage prospective residents to enjoy a complimentary meal when visiting any of our Avista communities!
Avista Magnolia Assisted Living is located at 737 Magnolia Avenue, Corona, CA 92879. We are proud to serve people at any level of care (including those with Alzheimer’s or other dementia-care conditions). Many of our residents come to us from Corona, as well as the surrounding areas of Riverside County, Chino Hills, Eastvale, Los Angeles, and more.
Contact us to learn more about our community and see what floor plans we have available. If assisted living is not the right type of care for your loved one, other senior housing options in the Avista Senior Living network could offer your family member the level of care they need, including memory care and independent living communities.

so glad we went yesterday.
Today, Art Cook, Yvonne Manhart, Donna Reilly Olson, Bernice Macmillan, Shirley Carr, June Thompson, and I went to visit Athena Corn to present her with her certificate for having been President of the Avista Resident Council 2021-2023. At our Happy Hours on Wednesdays, many times Athena would sing Nancy Sinatra’s THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKING with her Cowgirl Boots. Today, we presented her with SANTA BOOTS!!
