At Avista, we understand that an active lifestyle is healthy for mind and body. Also, wholesome interaction with others promotes feelings of belonging and friendship. Our activities are tailored to the interests, wants, and needs of our residents. With input from our residents, the Activity Directors coordinate and lead a full calendar of activities at each of our Avista communities. Also, the Mesa Active Adult Center is right across the street and offers additional opportunities within close proximity to remain engaged!

The transportation always gets us where we need to go and they just recently got a new beautiful bus. The price is good for what she has, management staff is accessible and responsive, the activities are good for the residents and I like them, housekeeping does a good job of cleaning her apartment, the building looks well maintained, and the wellness staff have helped her a lot. Absolutely a wonderful place. I searched the gauntlet of care facilities in the Mesa area and none were as nice and reasonably priced, as Avista. Great staff, great location, great food and a wonderful caring feeling that just hugs you all over! I have been a resident here for 4 years. I have known the Activities Director and grown very close with her. She plans WONDERFUL activities for us to do in the room and out of our community. We have had a chance to go to museums and restaurants and cruising on Canyon Lake together! Many of us have powerchairs, wheelchairs, and are blind or just getting old! She cares for us like she loves us very much and we are family. We even have Thanksgiving dinner together, family style. Every Monday we sing and dance to our entertainers that she brings in! She looks after our health still, because she used to do our medicine. She cares for us like a mother, but we all consider her a daughter and a friend. What a blessing!

I’ve been looking for senior living for my mother but I have heard stories on how people get treated. But I was at the Art Exhibit in downtown Mesa and saw a lady with her patients, and just the way she interacted with her patients and how they seem to just love her, it made my heart melt! ❤ It took me back, we need more caretakers like her in this world! That is the type of place I would love to take my mother to! And that’s the exact type of person I want taking care of my mother! So thought I’d just say this because people like Natalie need to be appreciated for the work they do!
