After losing my dad in March and struggling harder with her depression, anxiety and mobility, living in her house became much more than she could cope with. So we found Avista. She's been here for 6 months and making some improvements. I love the staff!! They're friendly, courteous and willing to help. The place is clean. I've been to a few places over the years when my dad went in for respite care and the first thing you notice is the smell especially near the residents rooms. Not here, it always smells like they just cleaned. The Assisted Living Apartments are nice, just the right size for someone with mobility issues. Mom doesn't feel so overwhelmed in it. The food is good also. Mom says she enjoys eating there and lets the cook know. Some of the staff knows her and gets her coffee just the way she likes it before she sits down. My mom is pleased with living here and is glad we found Avista. In turn that makes my brother and I feel good about Avista. They've made the transition from living on her own in a house to a smaller apartment much more bearable. For that I am grateful!! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT AVISTA!!
