My father has been living at Avista Senior Living North Mountain for nearly a year. From the first day we checked out this facility to present our experience has been extraordinary. This is not the fanciest place in town (that’s where we were before moving Dad to Avista) – and though not fancy, it is modern, clean and well maintained as evidenced by the ongoing improvements being made. Every encounter with staff from caregivers to administration to marketing to the dining room to the front desk have all been positive, and I believe I’ve figured out why – it’s the culture they have created. At Avista there is a culture of caring and compassion that permeates each of the departments I’ve dealt with concerning Dad’s care. It’s amazing, because being a business person myself I understand the value of building not only a winning culture for employees, but more importantly, customers. Avista understands their customer is not just Mom or Dad – their customer is everyone who walks in the door, including me. On a number of occasions when taking Dad out to the patio to sit in the sun and visit I’ve had opportunity to meet others visiting their loved ones. Never have I heard a negative comment, but rather gratitude for knowing their parent is in a safe, caring environment. Thank you Avista for making Dad feel so at home, cared for and appreciated.
